The pan-European Stoxx 600 index fell by 0.1% at 2:34 p.m. London time, with trading mixed across sectors. All major bourses were in negative territory, with the U.K.’s FTSE 100 down 0.42%.
Regional markets had followed their global counterparts higher on Wednesday as concerns about a trade war between the U.S. and China receded.
