preCharge News ENTERTAINMENT — Kim Kardashian took the stand for four-and-a-half hours on Tuesday in a Paris courtroom, recounting the harrowing night in 2016 when a masked gang stole $10 million worth of her jewelry. The reality star described the moment she thought she would be raped and killed, offering a rare, emotional glimpse into the trauma she faced.
The Night of the Attack
Masked Men Stormed Kardashian’s Suite

The robbery took place around 3 a.m. in Kardashian’s luxury Paris hotel suite. She testified that she was in bed, moments from sleep, when she heard heavy footsteps charging up the stairs.
“I was certain that was the moment he was going to rape me,” she said, her voice steady but emotional. “I absolutely did think I was going to die.”
One of the intruders, wearing a police uniform, grabbed her leg, pulling her toward him, exposing her as her bathrobe fell open.
“I thought about my sister,” Kardashian added, “I thought she would walk in and see me shot dead and have that memory forever.”
The Chilling Demand for Her Diamond Ring
The Robbers Knew What They Wanted

At one point, one of the masked men pointed a gun at her and demanded her $4 million diamond ring.
“He kept shouting, ‘Ring! Ring!’ in English, with an accent,” Kardashian said, referring to the ring her then-husband Kanye West (now known as Ye) had given her.
Kardashian recalled how the intruders eventually tied her up and dragged her to the hallway, leaving her bound and terrified.
A Moment of Forgiveness
Kardashian Confronts the Alleged Mastermind

During Tuesday’s testimony, Kardashian addressed Aomar Aït Khedache, the alleged mastermind behind the heist. After his lawyer read an apology letter to the court, in which Khedache expressed regret for the trauma he caused, Kardashian responded:
“I forgive you,” she said, pausing as the court fell silent. “But that doesn’t change my trauma or the fact that my life was changed forever.”

Security around the courthouse was intense. Kardashian entered through a rear entrance, flanked by four bodyguards, her mother Kris Jenner by her side. Dressed in black, she briefly removed her sunglasses to acknowledge the crowd before stepping inside.
The trial, which is not being televised, has attracted a media frenzy, with 400 journalists applying for just 40 spots inside the courtroom.
A Life Changed Forever
Kardashian’s Struggle to Move On
Kardashian’s testimony highlighted the deep, lasting impact of the attack. In previous interviews and on her family’s reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she has spoken about how the robbery left her feeling unsafe and permanently changed.
“It makes me so upset thinking about it,” she said in a past episode, recalling the trauma.
The Case Against the “Grandpa Robbers”
Older Suspects Face Long Prison Terms
The gang, some of whom were in their 60s at the time, have been dubbed the “Grandpa robbers.” Several suspects, including Yunice Abbas, who acted as a lookout, have already admitted their roles.
Abbas, now 71, told the court last month that he deeply regretted his actions, stating, “When you steal a lady’s purse, it can be traumatic.”
