preCharge News MICHIGAN — Two children appeared to have frozen to death inside a van in Detroit, according to police.
Detroit police say the children, identified as a 9-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl, appeared to be living in a van with family. They said the five children were sleeping in the van in a parking structure in the 3900 block of Beaubuen.
Police say the mother noticed one of the children was not breathing and called a friend to take the child to the hospital. Sometime later, the grandmother reported that another child was also not breathing and the friend returned to take the child to the hospital.
Both children were pronounced dead.
The three other children were taken to the hospital for evaluation and are listed in stable condition.
