
preCharge News LOUSIANA — A man killed eight children — seven of his own and one cousin — in an execution-style mass shooting early Sunday in Shreveport, authorities said. The suspect was later killed in a police chase after exchanging gunfire with officers.

Police confirmed the victims included five girls and three boys between the ages of 3 and 11.

The coroner’s office identified the children as:

- Braylon Snow, 5
Officials described the killings as “execution-style,” with some children attempting to escape through a window and onto the roof.

Police identified the shooter as Shamar Elkins, who had a prior weapons conviction and military background.
